View includes a dust storm moving towards Lake Eyre and
the former nuclear testing area at Maralinga. Maralinga
is a location within the Woomera area of Central Australia
where the British undertook above ground nucelar testing
between 1955 - 1963.
The
Hot Spots works are inspired by satellite images courtesy
of the MODIS Rapid Response Team, NASA-Goddard Space Flight Center.
Members of the team attended the showing of these art works at the
Embassy of Australia Gallery (Washington DC).
